Date: 9/29/2013
Water Clarity: Clear
Hatches: Isonychia (#12-#14), Tan Caddis Flies (#14-#18), Blue Winged Olives
Suggested Patterns: Greys Wulfs, Small Adams, BWO Dries, Soft Hackle BWO, Sunk Rusty Spinner, Pheasant Tails, Brown Kaufman Stone flies, Taylor’s Gut Caddis and Big leech and minnow streamers.
Not too much has changed since the last report, Salmon are continuing to move up into some of the Champlain and other lake Tribs. Aside from that the Browns are moving up out of the larger rivers and into the smaller ones to prepare for the spawn. These Browns will become more aggressive taking large bulky streamers quite fiercely. Everything around is fishable giving us plenty of opportunities. On a side note as the water cools raven floats will become a lot more productive for nymphing compared to Yarn or thingamabobbers. Good luck out there!
