Bob Shannon

Bob Shannon, the head guide, has been teaching and guiding in the area for over 20 years. He has also been teaching a class at Johnson State College in Johnson, Vermont on fly fishing for the past 15 years, and has consistently been featured in the press for excellence in fly fishing and guiding. He is a New York licensed guide and on the pro staff for St. Croix Rods. A member of Vermont's Fish and Wildlife Board that helps the Fish and Wildlife Department with decisions regarding Vermont's fishing and wildlife management.

Josh Adams

Josh Adams was a former student of Bob's instructional course at Johnson State College where he excelled in every aspect of fly fishing. The story goes that Josh was born with a fly rod in his hand and he has been fishing ever since. Josh's passion for all kinds of fishing adventures is both contagious and legendary, which makes him a great guide / instructor and a valuable asset to the Fly Rod Shop. Now into his 11th year guiding for Bob, he knows all of Vermont's greatest Fly Fishing spots. Josh is also a New York licensed guide.

Alan Therrien

Alan is a junior at Hazen Union High School and has been with the Fly Rod Shop for two years running our Junior Fishing Program & helping with our Family Gone Fishing programs. His fishing life started when he was 5 years old fishing with his dad for brook trout near their home in Hardwick and four years ago picked up fly fishing. He has developed a beautiful cast and is currently in guide training to help teach our Free Casting Clinic. He is also working PSCOR Stream Project to help determine the quality of the water in streams that lead into Lake Champlain.
