Sorry for the delay in River reports. All of the mid-small sized rivers are in good shape for trout fishing right now, we have been getting some cooler nights in the past few days which has helped significantly helped, it looks like by tuesday next week the temps are gonna be getting awfully warm and the nights are going to be as cool. The fishing has remained decent in the smaller tributaries as they have stayed much cooler and are full of hungry fish. The larger rivers like the Winooski and Lamoille are still in the high 60’s and low 70’s. This is a great time to head into the lower sections of the river for Smallmouth bass. Both of these rivers have good populations of them and they’re more than willing to take a popper or a large stonefly on the swing or dead drifted.
