First off we’d like to thank everyone that attended the 2nd Annual Vermont Fly Fishing Show yesterday. Big thanks to all the vendors, some of which had longggg drives to come up. We’d also like to thanks Simms for sponsoring the awesome beer we got from Idyletime Brewery on the mountain road.

We got some pretty heavy rain this morning although it didn’t last too long. Some of the smaller streams came up and got pretty dirty pretty quick but should be low and clear by the end of today or tomorrow. Things are looking good for the extended forecast. Aside from Tuesday, things are going to be much cooler than they have been and it looks like fall might actually be here! Hopefully that will be the case, forecasts report temps at night dropping down into the low 50’s and upper 40’s which would be a huge help for the trout game. We could also use a lot more rain but if we can get cooler air temps that will be a plus. We’re forecasted to receive some rain later on in the week but it doesn’t look likes it’s going to be anything too significant. Water temps cooled off a good bit last night and lots of water should be in good shape right now to fish. With cool airtemps out there today get out!!! We’ve still been seeing some flying ants around along with ISOs and plenty of BWOs. Once we get a good push of water we should start to see Salmon showing up in some streams running into Champlain and Magog.
