The Fly Rod Shop in Stowe Vermont offers fishing programs of all kinds in and around the Stowe area. Whether you want to spin or fly fish, we have the programs that can turn any good vacation into a great vacation.

Junior Fishing Program

Our Junior Fishing Program focuses on kids learning the fundamentals of "Having Fun Fishing", with casting, baiting and knot tying all done at the Fly Rod Shop's trout pond.

Family Gone Fishing

The Family Gone Fishing Program is great fun for the whole family! Half day of instructional spin fishing on one of our favorite "fishin" holes with an experienced fishing instructor. The kids will love it and you don't have to worry about putting the worm on the hook for them, just enjoy fishing on your own.

Daily Fly Fishing Instructional Tours

Our Daily Fly Fishing Instructional Tours are by far our most popular program. This unique fly fishing program allows "the river to become the classroom". Experienced fly fishing instructors will discuss Vermont's aquatic entomology, fly presentation, mending the line, how to read the water all on one of Vermont's scenic trout streams in the Stowe area. Whether your a novice learning to cast or an experienced fly fisherman, our experienced fly fishing guides can accommodate your individual needs.

Drift Boat Trips

For even a more unique experience on your Vermont vacation, try our Drift Boat Trips down either the Lamoille River or Winooski River where you will find all three species of trout. A full or half day of fly fishing sure to relax or challenge the most experienced fisherman. Fishing in Vermont, what could be better!
