Similar report to the past few ones, the fishing is on fire! We’re getting into lots of fish with some of our trips hitting double digits on trout. Suspension nymphing with a Raven Float has produced lots of fish when other techniques have fell short. We’ve been floating and wading both the Winooski and Lamoille river with equal results on both: Lots of fish. We’ve seemed to get into more wild fish on the Winooski than on the Lamoille but that’s just what we’ve seen. There was a huge Caddis hatch on the Winooski yesterday evening along with some Hendricksons. Didn’t see too many fish rising but did see some which is a good sign. We’ve had reports of other anglers seeing fish taking dry flies as well. A promising sign for the next few weeks. We’re in for some rain over the next few days would should help things out as well. As water temps continue to warm up be sure to pack your thermometer with you as once we get into June water temps may rise above 70 in the afternoon. Be sure to get out over the next few days as the fishing is pretty awesome right now!
