The Winooski cleared up quite a bit and is in pretty good shape right now, still slightly off colored but all in all good shape. The water is still moving pretty swift so avoid areas of pocket water as they will more likely resemble class 3 rapids. Fish above Bolton right now, the water will be slightly slower and less intimidating. The Lamoille is in good shape as well. Still quite a bit of water moving through them but definitely fishable. Most of the fish have been holding on the soft side of the seams in deeper water. On the larger rivers lots of fish on streamers and nymphs. Should potentially see some dry fly activity this afternoon. The small streams are all in great shape as well providing plenty of options at getting fish on dries. The temps may start to get close to 70 in some parts of the bigger rivers by mid-week so it wouldn’t hurt to throw a thermometer in your pack. The bass fishing has continued to be pretty good as well. Lots of the females are off their beds and hanging along steep drop offs, and gravel while the males stay in shallow to protect the fry. We should see some Drakes this evening along with Sulphurs and probably some caddis flies as well. Good luck and get out there!
