We’re finally in for some rain over the next few days which is much needed.  Over the next few days expect to see some of the larger rivers around come up in level and become muddy and possibly un-fishable. The smaller tribuaties will clear up quickly if they do become muddy. It all depends on how much rain we actually get though. Over the past few days things have gotten scary low, even the brook trout streams have been a bit more tricky in the past couple of days. The bigger rivers are all still super low as well, the Winooski right now is at 82 CFS in Montpellier!! Now let’s just hope we do get a good amount of rain over the next few days. As we’ve mentioned before, if you’re looking to get after trout in a larger environment than a brook trout stream the Little River flowing out of the Reservoir is currently the only game in town unless you head up to the Upper CT. We’ve been fishing a bit down there and have pulled some nice fish out on both nymphs and dry flies depending on the water levels. When the flows have been higher, we’ve done better with sub surface patterns and when the water’s lower dry flies have been more productive. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we might have some other, better opportunities on other trout water,
