We hope everyone has been able to get out and wet a line lately! There hasn’t been a whole lot to report. The big rivers are still super dirty but the smaller and mid sized streams are in great shape! We’ve been spending almost all our time on the smaller mountain streams and the fishing has been as good as it gets! The size of some of the brookies we’ve been running into lately have been pretty impressive! Some of the mid sized tribs have been fishable over the past week as well with some nice fish showing up both with nymphs and streamers when the conditions allow it.

For those getting out this weekend you’ll have a few options; Saturday AM will give you the best shot at finding cooler temps on the larger tribs. Some may be perfect, some may still be a little warm. If you come across cool enough water, plan on fishing a mix of dries and nymphs, perhaps a streamer if you run into some dirtier water. Additionally, the brook trout fishing will remain awesome all weekend. Grab a box of dries and a 3wt and go hike up a small mountain stream, if you’re lacking flies, or a 3wt you know where we’re at!!

Still water fishing for bass, pike and pickeral would be another great option if you’ve got access to a canoe, kayak or boat! Lots of good topwater fishing early and late, and we’re getting some nice fish throughout the day on streamers.

Good luck to everyone getting out this weekend!
